Arlene. I have done just what you are trying to do. The easiest way I found, was to replace the Screen-file definitions with the definitions of a flat file to get the input to the program. Instead of reading the screen, I had to read the flat file into the same 'screen workarea', which already existed. Then, in the program, I could use all the fields as if they came from a screen. The writes back to the screen had to dissapear, of course. I had to write to a list, file or display to the joblog, if necessary. PS.: Dataareas can be accessed from both on-line and batch-programs.
