DFU won't do it. WRKDBF won't do it. The only way I know how is to use an RPG or Cobol program... Perhaps there is a maintenance program for the file you're working on that will pull up and lock the record? ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Go... FASTER! Without an upgrade! I'm trying to fix an issue where a program abends because a record is locked. However, in our system, the program does not abend and the file that is supposedly locked has a shared lock. I need to be able to lock the record for a significant amount of time (about 60 seconds) in order to cause the abend. What are the different ways I can do this? Thanks, Regina Rafols _______________________________________________ This is the COBOL Programming on the iSeries/AS400 (COBOL400-L) mailing list To post a message email: COBOL400-L@midrange.com To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo.cgi/cobol400-l or email: COBOL400-L-request@midrange.com Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/cobol400-l. _______________________________________________ This is the COBOL Programming on the iSeries/AS400 (COBOL400-L) mailing list To post a message email: COBOL400-L@midrange.com To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo.cgi/cobol400-l or email: COBOL400-L-request@midrange.com Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/cobol400-l.
