The differences are subtle, however in the GOBACK, if there is no CALL in
effect, the GOBACK acts as a STOP RUN, no statements after it will be
executed, in the EXIT PROGRAM if there is no CALL in effect the statements
following it will be executed. Both return control to the calling program at
the statement after the CALL statement if one is in effect, both should be
either the last statement or the only statement in the paragraph.

By habit, I code an EXIT PROGRAM as the last statement in the program but I
also use the GOBACK where I logically want to return to the calling program.
There is always an implicit EXIT PROGRAM at the end of the program anyway.

Good morning, everybody.

Could someone involved in the discussion around AG/RUN UNIT please explain
the difference between GOBACK and EXIT PROGRAM for me(and maybe a lot of
others?)

Mvh.
