RE: Converting from CICS (was no subject)

I didn't want to mention this earlier until I had checked to ensure they
were still in business, but I thought you might want to check out IBS.  Some
time back in a previous life <grin> I was responsible for co-ordination
between the compiler teams and the Hursley group who ported CICS to the 400.
I see you've already been told that CICS is still alive and well and it is
by all accounts a very good very reliable implementation.

That said, when we were looking at CICS options for tools etc. we checked
out IBS who had done a number of successful CICS -> Native conversions on
the 400.  I stress that I have no personal experience, but everything I
heard about them was good.  As I say I wanted to make sure they were still
doing conversion tools before I mentioned it and indeed they are.  I did not
give them your details, but if you would like to check out their offerings
you should contact the following gent who'll be more than happy to advise
you.

There was at least one other company at the time doing CICS conversions, but
I can't find any trace of them now - probably changed names or got swallowed
up.
