Hi, I've recently changed from RPG to Cobol, which involved a change in jobs funnily enough! I've got a novel question: I have been told by my colleagues that in the (very) old Cobol36 code that we still have, it is only possible to debug by inserting displays into the code and compiling it. -very limiting! Thus, by their reckoning, we are not allowed the STRDBG command. (although STRDBG is allowed in RPGII) This is very tiring, and takes a lot of time for, what should be, a simple debug. Is it possible to use the STRDBG command for debugging Cobol36 ? If so, how? Regards, Brian. Oh, we are running V4R3, if that makes any difference.. _________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com. +--- | This is the COBOL/400 Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to COBOL400-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to COBOL400-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to COBOL400-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---END
