          05 YEAR               PIC 99.
          05 MONTH           PIC 99.
          05  DAY                 PIC 99.
01  DATE-2.
          05 DAY                  PIC 99.
          05 MONTH           PIC 99.
          05 YEAR               PIC 99.
PROCEDURE DIVISION.
          ACCEPT DATE-1 from DATE.
    *  Convert the  YYMMDD-date to DDMMYY-format:
          MOVE DAY OF DATE-1 TO DAY OF DATE-2.
         MOVE MONTH OF DATE-1 TO MONTH OF DATE-2.
         MOVE YEAR OF DATE-1 TO YEAR OF DATE-2.
               etc.
