Re: Debugging C program strings with STRDBG

On the debug comman line enter:

Eval pointerName:c lengthToView

e.g. eval dataarea:c 20 will show the first 20 characters of the string referened by the pointer. I think for C programs you can also use S as the option which I guess takes note of the null termination. Not sure. Read the help text for the debugger to ase all options.



That should do it.

Now I try to debug a C program. So I place the cursor on a char variable and all I get is e. g.:

I presume SPP is for Space Pointer?

Is there an easy way to retrieve that string within the debugger?
