The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.

I know Calvin as I am the s390x maintainer of mono. Small world. ;-)

Subject: Re: [C400-L] libarchive
Hi, Neale,
Calvin Buckley, who is on the ibmioss list, and on ibmioss on Ryver, has
posted some notes about how to compile the latest version of libarchive
for PASE and AIX here:
https://gist.github.com/NattyNarwhal/1e711e742d2ffc6e0e053da784698cdb
(Calvin is porting .NET Mono to run on AIX and PASE ... see "Mono" forum
at ibmioss.ryver.com for details.)

Hi,
Has libarchive been ported to i7? This contains the APIs that allow you to create tarballs. The application (an NJE implementation) I am porting will receive PDSes and place the members into a single tar file. I had thought of using SAVE files to do things natively but if libarchive does exist then this would be the simpler choice. I’d rather not do something like receive the members into a temporary directory and then use the system() API to call the tar or zip command but it’s still an option.
