I am still learning C++, and sadly the C++ compiler is not installed here.

do you have the CRTCPPMOD command ? I believe it is part of the language
program product since V5R1.

I am going to work with what Aaron posted about the GENCSRC facility to
include the file defn specs. I'll post back my results. C++ gives you
everything that is in C with as you say to quote Bjarne, C with classes.
