Over the years, I've found that almost all of the POSIX APIs are available via the ILE C/C++ programming language. However, in the past few days I've ran into a few exceptions that are not documented, even for IBM i 7.1.

These APIs include, but are not limited to, getpgid(), getsid(), getrusage()and getpriority(). These APIs appear to be very ubiquitous across other platforms including z/OS.

Any idea why they are not included in IBM i?

Has anyone heard rumours as to whether they are planned for a later releases?

Mike
