I usually declare main() as:

int main(int argc, char * argv[])

and cast the arguments to whatever the appropriate data type is, but I don't
see why you couldn't declared the array as an array of integers.
For example, let's assume your command is passing in 3 integer arguments
(i.e. *INT4 in *CMD language), something like this ought to work:

int main(int argc, int * argv[])
{
printf("1st = %d, 2nd = %d, 3rd = %d",*argv[1], *argv[2], *argv[3]);
}

Of course, if you have a mix of data types, you're back to casting pointer
arguments.
