I'll probably repeat thing you already know, but since you got no replies yet, here it goes: I don't know of a glossary site for iSeries, but one good starting point is iSeriesNetwork website. Next is midrange.com, search400.target.com and finally InfoCenter. Good place to post generic/broad iSeries questions is midrange-L, not this forum. Midrange.com also has an FAQ you can search. Go to this site and download all the PDFs on it (right-click and save-target-as): http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/iseries/v5r3/topic/rzahg/rzahgcandc plus.htm I use them all as reference source. Websphere titled manuals are most up to date I think. BTW, I never had the need to use PASE for anything on the iSeries. Good luck. Elvis -----Original Message----- Subject: [C400-L] Newbie question - good sources of terms definitions andtutorials Hi all: Sorry for the broad questions. I am a brand new interested user of iSeries machines and C programming. I'm reading through C runtime library and programming manuals, but I'm missing context because of terms that are iSeries-centric. I've been able to figure what PASE is, for example, but there's an easy to find book about it on the IBM bookshelf. Many terms that look commonplace but mean something specific in the iSeries context appear. What's behind the words? 1) Cany anyone direct me to decent glossaries of iSeries terms? I can search archives, and hobble around in the IBM bookshelves, but a link to a good URL glossary or two would save lots of time. 2) online tutorials for iSeries? do any exist? Thanks for the pointers.
