C++ compiler? -- C400-L

Folks:

Can anyone give me the skinny on now the C++ compiler works on the 400?

I've been told that the actual compiler doesn't really run on the 400, but
it runs on a PC and it generates W-Code (is that the right term for the ILE
based intermediary code?).

My question is: How do you convert the W-Code to a *PGM?
