Hello Mike, You wrote: > Before I begin writing a C++ program, I want to make > sure the AS/400 Create Program command will compile a > C++ program. It depends on what you mean. If you mean CRTPGM then you have to get the C++ source into a form understood by CRTPGM. If you mean CRTCMOD or CRTBNDC then no, it doesn't understand C++. However there are two approaches. There is a C++ PRPQ called 5799GDW which is an AS/400 C++ compiler. There is also a PC-based cross compiler. (and work is progressing on an extremely angry compiler especially for me :) Regards, Simon Coulter. «»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«» «» FlyByNight Software AS/400 Technical Specialists «» «» Eclipse the competition - run your business on an IBM AS/400. «» «» «» «» Phone: +61 3 9419 0175 Mobile: +61 0411 091 400 «» «» Fax: +61 3 9419 0175 mailto: shc@flybynight.com.au «» «» «» «» Windoze should not be open at Warp speed. «» «»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«» +--- | This is the C/400 Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to C400-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to C400-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to C400-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: bob@cstoneindy.com +---
