If you're looking for 'wow' information on a 4.05 to Lx upgrade just get
onto the Infor extreme website and find the net change docs. There are many
new features in all areas on Lx over 4.05
The financials (GL) are completely new and much more flexible/capable. The
manufacturing work bench is a great new tool. Costing now has going to and
work center rates for the major cost sets. Supply chain has really good
options for configuring customers and customizing docs. Purchasing has
contracts that will automatically add lines to blanket POs from the MRP run.
We finally have the ability to obsolete items without deleting every bit of
support data. Lx supports vendor consignment with pay on consumption as
well as receipt.
I would be surprised if you couldn't find some 'wow'

The way I am looking at this is the OP is probably trying to see if
upgrading from 405CD to LX is worth it. And if so, how to 'wow'
management on it.
Al, I suspect you're not the go to guy for LX.
I do know that the CEO du jour was really impressed when we upgraded. And
he really thought it was impressive that it wasn't near the pain as
upgrading to a SAP installation would have been. His words.
