Any answers anyone can give you, depend on version of BPCS we are using.
The validity of those answers depends a great deal on how our companies have
setup BPCS.
Do you have a file on your system whose name is BPCSDOC? If so, does your
company security let you get into it?
Each member is documentation of a different aspect of BPCS.
It can be accessed from BPCS menu DOC, which is only available to IT people
with SYS security, in version 405 CD . I don't know about other versions.
Other people can access via PDM SEU etc. if they know how to find it.
Several outfits have manuals for various different versions, and application
sub-sets, of BPCS.
Many years ago I listed some here:
http://radio-weblogs.com/0107846/stories/2002/11/08/bpcsDocSources.html
The urls have evolved, but many of the same named outfits are still out
there.
The "File Relationship Poster" was part of the documentation supplied with
BPCS, when originally purchased. Many companies have done a poor job of
hanging onto that documentation, then discovered that it is not something
available to them again. It might also be that it was only included in the
documentation for selected versions.
Assuming your company security permits you to access this, and any changes
you make are in agreement with IT and accounting personnel, in version 405
CD we have:
* GLD119C spells out what detail happens with Journals from
different sources, as they flow into GLD
* GLD120C is a report listing the info which GLD119C maintains
* ACR120C controls where some types of transactions go into GLD
* IIC item class file controls where stuff goes into GLD, based on
item class, and nature of transaction

NSA = the only part of government which actually listens to the people.

Subject: [BPCS-L] BPCS Chart
I have been trying to find a Relationship Diagram which shows the linkages
between different tables in the BPCS - Accounting Module. Specifically
trying to see how payments (AML), payables (APL) , General Ledger Detail
(GJD) and General Ledger Header information can be linked.
Saw some posts about a "File Relationship Poster" but was not able to find
an actual copy of that. Any help will be appreciated.
