Subject: [BPCS-L] Entering Data in English and Chinese
Date: Thu, Jun 2, 2011 8:08 am

We are on ERP Lx 8.3.2

Has anyone any experience of using the Chinese Language Set and entering data in both English and Chinese? Currently all of our data is in English, but when China come on line we want to be able for them to enter data (particularly names, addresses and descriptions) in Chinese.

The ERP Lx files are now DBCS capable, but in testing we are having issues. We set up a PC with a Chinese keyboard and a Client/Access session configured for Simplified Chinese. When we select to enter in Chinese a) we can't enter numbers into numeric fields (we have to switch back to English to do this) and b) Item Master Description entered in Chinese doesn't update IIM.

I'm assuming we have some settings wrong - in BPCS or on the PC/Client Access - but not sure what. Would appreciate any comments from anyone with experience in this area.

Thanks

Tom Molyneux
