Other replies correctly referenced the ITH file as a source for this data. And I also would have the same question posed by one of the other replies about your wording - 'For a certain file . . . ' - which is a little confusing. That said, the IIM file has a field called ILDTE - date of last transaction. This MAY be what you are looking for - but realize that this would be for ANY transaction executed. If you are looking for the last date of a certain transaction type such as a PO receipt (U) or a cusotmer order shipment (B) - which may be what you mean when you say 'For a certain file . . . ', then the ITH would probably be the best choice.
