If you go into sys603 and use option 11 on the SSA Group you will see all of the programs that Group security will cover.

It is a bit tricky using Groups but we are working with it. There are two different Security CLP out there one for group and the other for not grouped. The problem is that once you think you have your groups set up some one user has to be different. We set up three groups for each department based on authority.

So I would think you custom programs may be easier.

I haven't heard anything about all security going to groups.

Subject: [BPCS-L] FKey/Action control in ERP Lx

A question for the Lx folks out there.

In 6.1 we have a limited ability to control access to function keys and actions in some display programs through the use of security groups - SYS603.

This ability is not available in some key places - like ORD700, ORD550 (we've all seen a user release EVERY open order at one time or another), ORD570 etc.

In ERP Lx has this functionality been extended to ALL display programs? Or will we be looking at rolling up the mods we made to remove the function keys we didn't like?

I've scanned the Net Change documents and can't find it mentioned.

Thanks in advance.
