We investigated this & other BPCS codes many years ago, leading to some fix
it programs to force populate some fields the way we wanted them.
CIC.ICMPSD should be 'S' for us.
IIM.IMPSD should be 'S' for us.
I found the programs where we do this. I do not remember why we needed
this.
When in doubt, look at what passes for documentation, that may still be on
your system ... BPCSDOC that comes with BPCS, and where the field can be
changed, place cursor there & press F1-HELP. This because the rules can
vary with version of BPCS and whether you are on multi-facility where some
rules get overruled by facility.
All ours are either S or blank, which means we are overdue to run our fixit
programs.

Subject: [BPCS-L] Item Demand Code
Can anyone explain what the item demand code is for and what the various
values do?
I haven't been able to find any documentation on this.
Regards,
George
