Don,

I'm going from memory here since we are on 6.004 but there may be a Daily
Lead Time rate in MRP140 in 4.05 CD as well. If so, you can enter a value
in this field that will be the equivalent of the amount of the product
that can be produced in a given day, include any move, queue, or run time.
When you do this it will look at the planned order, and based on the DLTR,
it will calculate a more accurate start and end date for the planned
order. It is still going to utilize the request or release dates you are
using but the end result should be much more accurate than a standard
planned order.

subject: [BPCS-L] 405cd - Start dates change?

Confusion:

I enter a forecast and run mps

I run mrp and cap

I have a planned order with a start date

Then, I release that planned order to a shop oder, and the start date
rolls "back".

What is the logic causing that start date to change - on the shop order?

TIA,
Don C.
