You can Display IBM objects to an *OUTFILE, which then has the title of the
file with each file name.

If you study the documentation that comes with the system, in file BPCSDOC,
you should be able to find where the source code is located. On our 405CD
it is in library BPCS405CDS where the S on the end means source code. There
are files for each kind of object, including source code for the files
themselves in QDDSSRC. We have some modifications, where we have other
libraries for the add-ons.

With PDM you can scroll down one liner descriptions of each of the files, or
use an *OUTFILE to put the data into a form that can input to a program or
query.

Also if you use GO DISKTASKS to analyse what's eating your disk space, you
can get similar reports listing what's in each BPCS library.

Does anyone have a simple WORD or Excel document which contains file names
and a short, one sentence description?

E.G.:

LCR - (ALL W/C's - capacity requirements detail) has about 20K records -
incl. outside w/cs
LRF - (Rough Cut capacity detail - CRITICAL W/C's ONLY) has about 15K
records- excl. ALL outside w/cs
LBR - has about 13K records - EXcl. outside w/cs - time per unit at each W/C
- but under the "E" item types ONLY!
LWK - W/C Master file - one record for eack workcenter - Incl outside.
