Norman,

If you execute the entire Period end programs in BPCS on 9/26 and have changed the fiscal calendar for the October period to begin 9/27 or 9/28, and September ends on 9/26, you don't have to do anything else the system will post all transactions in inventory and book them to the MTD buckets in all levels of inventory and when INV920 is run it will post to the correct period in the Ledger.

Sorry all for not being clear enough. I'm on version 6.04 and I want the
inventory transactions and GL transactions to post in October. The issue
is this...in the past I have closed the month, posted physical inventory,
run NUMEROUS reports for management to analyze inventory issues, then
someone back dates an inventory transaction into the prior month. (I have
modified the inventory transactions screen so that people cannot back date
transactions anymore) BPCS recognizes that the transaction is PRIOR month
and does not update MTD inventory numbers, instead it modifies the opening
balance of this month, since the transaction took place last month. I
don't want this type of issue reoccurring.

Thank you

[BPCS-L] Month End Processing

We have an issue where we are running month end on September 26. Is there

a way to 'force' the system to count inventory transactions as October's
business even though they are keyed in on September 28 - September 30?
