What version of BPCS/Lx are you running? There is an option in Promos and Deals called free goods but certain releases of the software didn't work.

Subject: [BPCS-L] Promotions&Deals setup
Hi there,
I am trying to setup a deal which may not be possible and was looking
for a bit of help.
The promotion is as follows:
If a quantity of 5 of a particular product A is bought, we need to
supply either product B or product C at a fixed reduced price.
I'm not sure if Promotions&Deals can handle this sort of promotion.
Please feel free to put me out of my misery.
