Since v6 up to 8.2 that we are on now - our programmers wrote a routine
so data entry affecting perp inventory must run the date against our
Financial Calendar, also not more than one period can be fully opened at
the same time - or no one can do perp inventory transactions. For all
the reasons Al mentioned -- Accounting and the bottom line -- Our rule -
can not, shall not backdate into a prior or future closed period. If
items come up (as they do, labor cards late) they are entered on the
first date of the current period instead.
