The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.
If you know of an easy to use, open source, search engine ... please contact support@midrange.com.
Go into As/Set
Open up the correct set that contains the AS/Set source for the program
you are interested in.
Place an option 7 on the line with the program and press Enter,
Here you have an option....
You could choose Y, B, 4, F (or P) for the options on the screen, or
(my preference)
choose Y, I, 4, F (or P)
and press Enter
If you chose the letter B, the system will go off in Batch to try to
validate the AS/Set source prior to generating the RPG source
If you chose the letter I, then the system will progress on thru a set of
other panels
It will most likely prompt you to start the AS/Set subsystem... You have
to do this to continue in my experience. If you say No, the next screen
will populate, but the program won't generate the source when you ask it
to.
Once that's done you can make sure the source and object names are
correct, as well as note the source files and libraries that things are
being placed in. Once all that is correct you can press F14 to generate
the source(s).
This was done with As/Set 6.01... your mileage may vary!
Hope it helps!

[BPCS-L] ASSET
Can anyone tell me the procedure to convert a BPCS AS/SET program to
RPG? It has been so long since I had to do that I no longer remember. I
know you have to bring it in to the repository (I think!!). Any help
would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Janice
