This is from BPCS 6.1, the logic is probably similar in 8.
Go into Warehouse Maintenance for the receiving warehouse and blank out the default receiving location. If this is populated, it is the prevailing receipt location for all POs under this warehouse.
Then set field WILOC in the IWI file to the desired location for each item, for the receiving warehouse. I'm not aware of a way to do this from the BPCS menu, you have to update the file. It's fairly straightforward and has worked perfectly for my client.
Is there a way to designate a default location (by part) for receipts, so that the receiving program would be populated with the most often used receiving location?
That is, is there a way within BPCS?
