We have 405CD and have been on V5r3 for almost 2 years with 0 issues.

405CD definitely works on V5R2 and I can't think of any reason why it
wouldn't work on V5R3. Since I don't have any practical experience with
V5R3 and 405CD I can't say definitively that it does.
