Rajesh,
It's not the Approval that goes missing, it's the Authorization to
Commodities for a specific user that's a problem - A user is authorised to
certain Warehouses. could this be set-up for Commodities?

Re: BPCS-L Digest, Vol 5, Issue 139
Hi Kobie,
Just now I did a test by creating a PO for a commodity with authorization
limit.
I observed that the authorization process works perfectly for commodity in
Ver 8.2.
ie if it is below the authorized limit it goes for approval.
Hope my understanding of issue is right. Please try from your end.

subject: [BPCS-L] BPCS V8.2.01: PO's and Commodities and access to
Warehouses.
As you all are aware of, access to a warehouse in the PO Maintenance is
limited per user - SYS600....Thus can you limit a user to certain
warehouses when creating PO's.
With Commodities we have a problem. The structure is 9999.999999999, where
the 1st 4 is the Dept. and the rest is the Account. With the lack in
authorization on Commodities (what I'm aware of), it means that any user
could create a PO with Commodities in other Departments...a major problem!
Q: Is there a way to limit users to the Dept.Account on Commodities, or
perhaps link the Commodities to a Ship-To as on the different lines of a
PO the Ship-To could be specified and so limit the users to specific
Commodities / Ship-To's.
Any suggestions will be appreciated....
