What might cause you not to go to to global costing is that if the BOM's,
routings, work center rates across your 2 facilities are at all different in
fit/form or function then you'd loose the visibility in the differences.

When your cost accounting department (at fiscal year end) changes any of the
components that establish the standard costs they might be specific to each
individual facility.

Remember that the BOM's and routings are still Facility specific so you could
not have global BOM's or routings. I have found that maintaining facility
costs is a truer measure of the business.

Subject: [BPCS-L] Facility to Global Costing

I have two facilities and am doing costing by facility. My costs for an item
are basically the same in both facilities. What issues would prevent me from
changing to global costs?

I am running LX Version of BPCS
