Alternative approach. Many different vendors supply some extremely useful manuals on BPCS. The one that would be most useful for what I think you are looking for is.The Overview Reference Manual for BPCS < http://www.dssolutionsinc.com/OverviewManual.asp> from DS Solutions which explains, among other things, the function of every single field of every single file of BPCS. However, it is not enough to understand BPCS out of the box, it is also important to understand its shortcomings particularly in the area of computer security and other areas that can be repaired, if you only knew about them. So perhaps it is worth you getting the BPCS Auditor's Handbook from Unbeaten Path International http://www.unbeatenpathintl.com/ In any ERP there will be areas where the users make assumptions about how things work, that are in fact wrong, leading to a variety of human error, bad data, risks of breach (both insider crime and the kind that gets all the news media attention). The BPCS Auditor's Handbook can guide people, who may not be familiar with BPCS, into understanding the depth and breadth of BPCS Gotchas. http://www.unbeatenpathintl.com/8toc/source/1.htm My employer now gets our tech support from UPI, but I do not get any $ compensation from telling you about what I think is the most relevant documentation for your needs. I have links to additional BPCS resources at http://radio.weblogs.com/0107846/stories/2002/11/08/bpcsDocSources.html Does anyone use the BPCS menu XREF? I am wondering if it is reliable, also is there a way to control what libraries it looks at? I am new to BPCS. In my past experience I have used tools like Hawkeye Pathfinder. I am wondering if we need to purchase a cross referencing tool or will menu XREF show me what programs certain files used and etc. Also is there somewhere I can find some documentation on BPCS XREF.
