I haven't done QAT records but I have done QDB when we were setting up tax
books that had previously maintained in an Excel spreadsheet. It's been a
year or so but I think that I can remember the basics. I tried CPYFRMIMPF
and CPYFRMSTMF but had no luck due to a field or two that had a single or
double-quote (' or ") that screwed up the command. In the end I imported
the spreadsheet into a MS-Access database then created an ODBC link to a
DB2 file on the AS/400 that I had created. I wrote a program to move the
records from the temporary file to the QDB file. There was also some
editing involved to fix things that didn't quite match.

This was a one-time project and involved quite a bit of work but it was
better than the amount of labor needed to hand-enter all of the records. I
would have to do some looking to find the program. Even then, I doubt that
it would be of much good to you since it was based on our spreadsheet.

Hi All,

Does anyone have a program that will upload assets into BPCS? I am
struggling to setup some 5,000 assets.

Please help!

Isaac.
