Hello,

Yes there are known issues. I suggest you read the Info APAR for BPCS
for V5R3. This can be downloaded from the IBM site. It lists both the
SSA BMRs and IBM PTFs required for upgrading.

The Info APAR is II13889 and can be found at this link:
http://www-912.ibm.com/n_dir/nas4apar.nsf/0/5bec79aa96bcec4e86256eb6003c
7d7f?OpenDocument

It is broken up by BPCS version.

If you are getting a new hardware in addition to upgrading the operating
system then you would also need a new license key for BPCS and should
contact your SSA sales representative to find out what is required to
obtain this based on your contract.

Thanks,

subject: [BPCS-L] RE: BPCS-L Digest, Vol 3, Issue 122

We are on BPSC version 6.04 since July 1999 cum. We are currently
running on OS-V5R1. We are planning to move to OS V5R3, and we do not
have the BPCS Maintenance. Are there any known problems for this OS
upgrade in AS 400?

Thanks in advance for any help with this issue.
