Dear Sandra,

I thought you guys were in the process of moving off BPCS.

 +> If so, your response time headaches will go away soon enough.
 +> If not, there is a very good ROI from Locksmith archiving
       software and a free test-drive demo is available:
       http://www.unbeatenpathintl.com/locksmith_bpcs/source/1.html

Not everyone is moving off BPCS; we're starting to see more and
more v8 migrations. Example:

    I just got back from a Japanese-owned company that has decided
    to make a substantial investment in applying BPCS manufacturing
    planning functionality while moving each of their world-wide
    sites from v6 to v8.

My sincere thanks to Steve Segerstrom and Al Macintyre for their
kind mentions while I was traveling today.

Peace,
Milt

Subject: [BPCS-L] ** Pick Release has poor response time **...

<snip>

When we run the program for Pick Release ORD550, the processing
keeps getting slower and slower. We have been running the same
programs for several years. No updates to BPCS or operating system.
The response time was acceptable a year ago. We only select one
order at a time.
My only guess is that our databases have been growing and growing,
but I don't know which one(s) would cause this to happen.

<snip>

Any helpful direction would be greatly appreciated, since I'm getting
beat up by the users...

Thanks, Sandy
