Hi Jenny, we have the same kind of jobs. Our solution: Have a dedicated - workcenter for outside cutting - routing for items concerned - BOM Create then a shop order for cutting which is automatically creating a purchase order towards the cutter. The P.O. of the raw material contents the ship to address of the cutter and the warehouse/location for this is the location = vendor number of the cutter in the raw material warehouse. Of course the PO receipt of the raw material must be posted on this warehouse. The receipt on PO from the cutter will automatically increase the shop order finished qty and if backflush (must single issue = N) the stock of raw material will also automatically be decreased. This procedure will enable a full tracebility of stocks but creates also some workload.
