In most cases, SSA will tell you the new 520 is bigger than the 830 and they therefore need you to purchase OGS to get the key. We have been a hardware reseller for SSA, and they are pretty adamant about that. I may also have some other ideas for you. Please call me to discuss. Mitchell K. We are not on OGS. I am examining my options regarding upgrade of my iSeries toward the end of the year and am hoping to get some feedback on what I can and cannot do with the box given that I will not be able to get a new key from SSA. Our IBM reseller is telling me that I can upgrade to one of the new boxes (520) and keep the same serial number while dropping to a P20 software level. What they can't tell me with any certainty is whether BPCS will run under the same license key. Anyone have any experience with this? Thanks, Jim Reinardy, Director - IS Badger Meter, Inc.
