We run bpcs in production with NO asset libraries (asset is on our development machine only). So we have in effect - did what you are going to do. This was done a while ago but I don't remember any fall out whatsoever. Good luck. -----Original Message----- From: bpcs-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:bpcs-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx]On Behalf Of Jim Sehi Sent: Friday, July 02, 2004 11:57 AM To: bpcs-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Removing ASSET I am in a shop currently running BPCS with ASSET on the system. We have purchased a new ERP package to replace BPCS, and I need to clean up the system to reclaim as much disk as possible in preparation for the new software installation. We have very few modifications, and they are isolated to production libraries, and I want to remove the entire ASSET package, repository, and related libraries from the system. I DO NOT intend to remove production libraries from the system such as BPCSMMO, BPCSMMPTF, etc. Has anyone done this already, and do you have any helpful hints regarding residual objects, subsystems, job descriptions, gotchas to watch out for, etc? Thanks!
