   Let me clear up one point here.  Full Client/Server does not take most of
   the load off the iSeries.  It does however change it to be batch
   processing rather than interactive, and therefore can change the model of
   iSeries required.

   I agree with Clare, you should try to run some kind of benchmark to
   establish you real requirements.

   Hi Nadun,

   At the rough rule of thumb where you need at least 5 CPW per BPCS user,
   you
   are already overloaded! However, you say you are going to Full
   Client/Server, so most of that load would be taken off the iSeries onto
   the
   PC, although 'batch' type stuff like order entry will still require the
   same
   amount of processor. You should do a benchmarking exercise with IBM or one
   of their business partners. Do you have that kind of support in Saudi??
