We are 405 CD MM
Our people doing shipping are via PCs which go down more often than our people on dumb terminals.
Although we have user documentation on what to do in a variety of crises, the average user reboots the PC and attempts to redo whatever they were doing and if BPCS appears to work Ok for them, no one is told that there was a problem such that some work station ought to be reset, or some work area cleared.
I have created a program to list all the work areas and work session address settings, so that I can see what time bombs exist with unreported user session bombs, and try to clean us up before the next one.

Our user documentation could stand improvement.
Sometimes they know they picked extra stuff in error and want it unpicked.
This can be done by confirming pick of zero quantity, but we not have step by step exactly how this done.

Before Billing, we run some queries to identify possible problems with the data, such as new items not yet priced, so that corrections are possible before invoice creation.

1. We are on 6.1.2MM.
2. We do not use ship confirmation. We use pick confirmation (creates
the B transactions, BBH/BBL records etc..).
3. During pick confirmation a user lost connectivity.
4. Shortly afterwards another user, pick confirming one order, shipped
159 orders! We had to adjust inventory, issue credits, etc.

We are currently tracing the job stream (EWR, etc.) but wondered if anyone
else has had this problem. If so, what files did you find that were
corrupted?

This is not the first time this has occurred and I want to put into place an
SOP (what to cleanup in BPCS and how to process the orders that were in the
midst of being pick confirmed) to address this issue if it occurs again.
Any input is appreciated.

Thank you.

Mark
