By-product inventory transactions are not generated in 6.1. SSA added that
capability in 8. You will have to do the inventory transactions yourself.
However, the byproduct standard costing function works well.

I am run BPCS 6.1. During production reporting against a shop order for the
end item, I would like to generate a by-product and have it put into stock.
We are currently running with a flat BOM that puts the parent item into
stock when the labor ticket is reported and back flushes all of the raw
materials. What master file setups are required and how would I have to set
my BOM so as to generate the parent end item, a by-product and back flush my
raw materials?
