Paul: We've been using QMS (V6.1.01) in a limited fashion for a couple of years, unfortunately not in the areas you really want information about. While I don't have to sit down and use the product day in and day out, I can tell you from recent experience that the set-up is tedious, at best. There's a lot of work that goes into setting up each of the items and making sure your relationships between specification, item, sample ID and test ID are all entered. Good luck and let me know about your progress, as we're evaluating V8 ourselves right now. We're considering the QMS package and I was wondering who is using it that would like to give their opinion (even if it's an earlier version). Specifically, I'd love to know if anyone has found it useful for tracking In-Process scrap as well as final inspection. Thank You, Paul LaFlamme MIS Manager Kennedy Die Castings, Inc. _______________________________________________ This is the SSA's BPCS ERP System (BPCS-L) mailing list To post a message email: BPCS-L@xxxxxxxxxxxx To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo/bpcs-l or email: BPCS-L-request@xxxxxxxxxxxx Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/bpcs-l.
