I hope this gets to the list Ok, since my home PC is
recovering from a melt down, and I not sure what all I have
reinstalled correctly yet.

Vendor muddy topic ... several vendors have told me that if
one of my contacts buys their product because of a referral
from me, I will get a commission. Well I have not yet made a
dime from this, and I continue to promote what I think are
good solutions.

There are several archiving products available that
supposedly maintain all BPCS rules in the other libraries, so
that if neccessary one can access anything needed. The UPI
archiving product is intended to off-load volume from main
BPCS libraries, such as old orders, old inventory history ...
our history goes back a year but 99% of our users only need
to go back the last 2 screens worth of transactions. Thus
one appeal of the UPI archiving product to me is that 99% of
the users could have what they need to access, with vastly
superior performance, because INV300 is not accessing 1 year
transactions history. The other 1 % can get at what they
need through the UPI archiving product.

Like I said at the outset, there are several archiving
products. UPI is one of them. Here is url with the
particulars.
