Automating Export Checks and Documentation

Your guidance on my last question about e-Commerce was so beneficial
that I thought I would follow up with another. And I thank you in
advance for any help you can give. 
 
One of our clients ships radioactive medicines and diagnostic agents.
They have asked us to identify automated export documentation and
Homeland Security type checking software. They run BPCS 405 CD. The goal
is for us to build interfaces from within BPCS to automatically check
export exclusion lists on the web, and to feed appropriate documentation
to US customs and other regulatory agencies. One company that does some
of this is Vastera

I was wondering if anyone on the list was already doing something like
this; or if someone has already done some of this homework. 
 
I would be glad to share my findings with the list if there is interest.
