not sure about your version. we are on 6.1.2. i think what i'll say is correct, but i may have something wrong. when you go into ord570 there is a confirm date at the bottom of the screen. it gets loaded using the system date when you invoke the screen. this allows you to override the system date if you need to confirm something for a prior date. i would suspect that as long as you did not reload ORD570 this date would stay the same even if you rolled past midnight. but a safer procedure would be to have the operator explicitly key in the confirm date when they were doing a confirm;. thus if it was after midnight they could key in the prior days date. we do know that if you key in a prior day's date, the B transaction on the ITH file reflects the confirm date that you keyed in, not the system date. chick doe prime measurement products formerly barton instrument systems >>> Tom.Sult@xxxxxxxxxxxx 09/09/03 11:34AM >>> We are running version 6.02 on unix hp-informix If a user signs into ord570, say on September 1, and pick confirm orders well into the night, on to the next day. If this user does not sign out, will the shipments entered after midnight be dated 9/1 or 9/2? thanks for your help ================================= Tom Sult Senior Business Systems Analyst x4844 770-645-4844 770-645-4810 (fax) tom.sult@xxxxxxxxxxxx <mailto:tom.sult@xxxxxxxxxxxx>
