Good morning Jingker;

Just to let you know that the Purchase Order number and purchase order line are part of the "Drop Shipment" functionality in BPCS 6.1.01. They are updated by BPCS programs (PUR660,etc.) and Order Entry only displays these fields. You can see them through ORD700 when you enter an option 22 on the line item.

I do not recommend to enter these values manually as there are multiple BPCS programs that will understand this as being a drop shipment. This will in turn activitate process-specific routines throughout Order Entry and Purchasing which may produce "unpredictable" results if any of the other files (besides ECL) are not updated accordingly.

I hope this helps.

Subject: Type the Purchase Order Number into CO Line
Date: Thu, 19 Jun 2003 14:04:42 +0800

Dear ALL:

We use BPCS V6.1.01 C/S on HP-UX.

There are two fields 'lpord' and 'lplin' in the ecl table. Which been
explained as the PurchaseOrder and
PurchaseOrderLine in the CustomerOrder GW of SMG.

I am wondering is there any way to type in the Order Entry program (ORD700)
about the two fields.

Thanks.
