The system of inventory transactions interface using CIMPATH only worked until
V6.0.04. In summary you had to fill the file NIN and to execute the program
CIM600, called through a customer program or through the program CIM600C.

In later versions the best is using the standard program INV500B1. You can fill
a work file with your transactions and later call INV500B1 through a program
written by you. The main difficulty is giving the correct value to each
parameter.

I suggest you first to list all parameters from ASSET sources. Later to do
manually the transactions that you want to automate, using INV500. With STRDBG
you can see the value of each parameter in each type of transaction. Finally
you will be able to make the program.

I made a similar program several months ago and until now it works without
problems. But the transactions are very repetitive.

subject: Interface to INV500

I am looking for an approach that would interface

inventory transactions to INV500 via a custom

written program. The feedback I have had so far

indicates that CIMPATH had a file that uploaded

inventory transactions were kept in (NIN), this file

was then used by CIM620 to process the inventory

transactions. Does anyone have any suggestions?
