Gerald, I would do this with a "Data Structures/Data Areas". 1: From Action Diagram Press F24=DS Def. 2: Define *DS type "RPTEXTds" Field with a External Definition of 'RPTEXT', Now you can break "RPTEXTds" into many Sub-Fields. ex, Sub1 A/78 pos 1-78, sub2 A/78 pos 79-156, and so on Call me if you need me to explain. Good luck! I need to display the contents of this field on screen. I need to display 78 characters from this field at a time. I was hoping to load the contents of this field into an 4096 long but I am not able to define a field 4096 long in AS/Set. Any thoughts?
