Announcing a new BPCS file utility  - Database Architecture Browser (DAB)

With the complexity of ERP and client specific file structures, even
specialist users can find it difficult to identify the location of data
items within the database.
DAB is a tool developed by ESS to simplify this task.
Details of the architecture of the target AS/400 library(s) are contained in
the DAB database with comprehensive details of the file and fields within.
Standard BPCS files are pre-loaded but any additional user files can also be
imported.  DAB is an easy-to-use windows product with comprehensive on-line
help (including file import for your additional user libraries).

With DAB on your desktop you can interrogate the structure of your database
by:

o        searching for individual words or characters within:
    -         file names
    -         file descriptions
    -         field names
    -         field descriptions
    -         .all with wild-card functionality!

o       searching for logical files, physical files or both

o       displaying selection criteria and access paths for logical files

o       printing a full list of BPCS files

o       utilising a "where-used" search, to display
    -        Programs which use a selected file
    -        Files used within a selected Program
    -        Displaying, printing or exporting search results

And all this for $250 per user!!  ( volume discounts available on
