We are 405 CD with modifications, but in the case of ORD they are changes to various reports (new fields added, some fields not printed) and fields renamed (literals). I do not know what drop ships are ... could be one of your modifications.

Once a BPCS order is selected for shipping, partial or picked, BPCS will not let us cancel it, but we can change the quantity to ship to become the quantity that has gone out, so that there is nothing left to ship or make. We can also go into pick confirm and select quantity zero for that item, so as to back it out of the prepare for shipping, and possibly cancel it.

If the order is "in the invoicing state", I have made the change to quantity left equal to quantity gone using DFU, followed by doing a reorg of the files, so that all of BPCS knows this is now the case.

When there is a BPCS error message, if you put cursor on the message then F1, you get at full screen explanation of the message, and a message code #, from which other BPCS customers can probably tell whether that message is vanilla or from modifications.

If searching archives for past discussions of relevance, might look for
Cancel Order
Customer Open Orders
ORD5
Pick Release

A question has arisen here that has me stumped:

A sales person took an order to be drop-shipped. A buyer created a PO for
that sales order line. The customer decided they didn't want the order. The
buyer canceled the PO. The sale person cannot delete the order line: the
message she gets says that the line can't be delted with drop ships pending.

We have some undocumented mods. Can anyone tell me if they see the same
thing in vanilla 4.05CD?

Thanks,
