we haven't actually done this, but we have a site in england that we evaluated. the biggest issue was the system date and time. if the as/400 is dedicated to only the far east location, no problem. but if it also supports US facilities, then dates, times, and date formats get interesting. if we were to do it we would use the as/400 LPAR capabilities to carve out a separate environment for the overseas facility. it would be formatted to their time zone, date format etc. this assumes that you can run them completely separate from any other applications. i have no idea how you would do this if all locations had to share a single common database and application. chick doe barton instrument systems >>> DHolv@aol.com 01/31/03 01:49PM >>> All: I would appreciate hearing about any experiences with running BPCS in the Far East on an AS400 located in the US.
